The core of Arts for Learning, the Indiana Affiliate of Young Audiences' work is bringing professional "teaching artists" into schools and community centers and other venues to perform live for, or work directly with, kids. Teaching Artists are professional arts educators who are skilled in both teaching and the arts.
Arts for Learning's teaching artists are qualified, professional artists who have successfully completed a comprehensive year-long audition and certification process. They are selected for both the quality of their artistry and the educational content of their programs. In addition to their regular in-school programs for students, many of our artists also offer afterschool programs for students and/or professional workshops for teachers.
