Looking for motivational activities for students or progressive approaches to teaching the core curriculum? Check out these new teacher workshops offered in addition to the shorter workshops already offered by a number of our artists.

Each of the following five artists has developed the workshop(s) below after being selected to participate in the intensive Kennedy Center Seminar, Artists as Educators: Planning Effective Workshops for Teachers. Young Audiences of Indiana is pleased to offer you these workshops developed in collaboration with our Kennedy Center Partner, Clowes Hall of Butler University.

Bringing Math Problems to Life through Puppetry.

Weather Dance: Learning Earth’s Processes through Movement.
Facilitated by Melli Hoppe, modern dance professional


The Power of Listening: Practical Skills to Resolve Conflict and Facilitate Classroom Discussion.

Math in Your Feet I: Teaching Geometry and Algebra through Rhythm and Movement.
